This CONNECT Insert controller is designed to enhance existing analogue wall switches with Z-Wave function and turn them into a Z-Wave controller. The unit has four general-purpose inputs, which can be connected to traditional analogue switches already installed. Depending on the number of inputs used a Z-Wave wireless controller for up to four Z-Wave groups is realised. The unit is controlling other Z-Wave devices by association, however a remote control or any other kind of Z-Wave portable or static controller is needed to include the unit into a Z-Wave network and to realise the association. The unit is battery powered and only 14 mm high. This allows the unit to be mounted behind an existing conventional wall switch.
